What: ASSA ABLOY, the company behind the iconic Australian lock brand, Lockwood is celebrating the opening of its new, custom built Centre of Design Excellence and expanded manufacturing facility in suburban Melbourne. Taking two years to design and build at a cost of $16 million, almost 90% of the 5.4 hectare site has been redeveloped. The facility also incorporates a 200 seat auditorium, a new training centre, function rooms, corporate offices, a trade demonstration area, and a state of the art catering facility and new 5,000m2 distribution centre.
When: The opening ceremony will take place between 9.30am – 10.15am on Wednesday 30th August 2006.
