Driving relationships just got a bit more exciting at ASSA ABLOY Australia after it signed up to back Brad Jones Racing in the V8 Supercar Championship.
Motorsport has been a tool in ASSA ABLOY’s portfolio for many years, providing a popular way to entertain suppliers and customers alike.
ASSA ABLOY Australia’s flagship brand Lockwood will appear on the headlights of both Jason Bright and Jason Bargwanna’s cars, providing ASSA ABLOY’s trackside guests something to cheer for.
“Most of our partners are motorsport enthusiasts and we’ve been taking them to the V8s for the last ten years without any real involvement,” said ASSA ABLOY Australia Marketing Communications Manager Nick Penny. “That’s worked really well in the past but now we’re getting some buy-in and supporting the sport. Equally as important, it provides some fantastic exposure for our Lockwood brand.
The company was introduced to Brad Jones Racing through a mutual contact and Nick said “meeting the team convinced them to go ahead. Seeing the benefits associated in being part of the team was extremely attractive’.
“BJR is a really good family team to get involved with,” he said. “They’ve been very supportive and Kim and Brad were fantastic blokes to deal with and made the decision easy for us.”
Jason Bright’s livery was unveiled on Wednesday in time for the weekend’s first official test day. “I think it’s great that Lockwood has got involved in a prominent area on the car and it looks great,” said Bright. “I think they’ve picked the right time to jump on board; we’re going to have a very strong year and I’m looking forward to celebrating with Lockwood’s guests trackside!”
